Introduction

The IoT Based Motorcycle Brake Pads Monitoring Concepts and Safety Techniques project is designed to improve motorcycle safety by continuously monitoring the condition of brake pads. In this system, sensors are used to detect brake pad wear and send real-time data to a NodeMCU microcontroller. The collected information is displayed on an LCD screen and can also be monitored through IoT technology for remote observation. A rechargeable battery powers the system, ensuring portable operation. This project helps riders identify brake pad conditions before failure occurs, reducing accident risks and improving vehicle maintenance efficiency. It provides a smart, reliable, and cost-effective solution for modern motorcycle safety systems.

Methodology

l Creating an idea for IoT Based Motorcycle Brake Pads Monitoring Concepts and safety Techniques. And designing a block diagram & circuit diagram to know which components need to construct it.

l Collecting the all components and programming for the micro controller to controlled the system.

l Setting all components in a PCB board & soldering. Then assembling the all block in a board and finally run the system & checking.

Working Principle

l The Battery supplies power to the complete system, while the Buck Converter regulates the voltage to provide a stable power supply for the NodeMCU, sensors, and LCD display.

l The Ultrasonic Sensor is placed near the Brake Pad to continuously measure the distance or thickness of the brake pad. As the brake pad wears out, the measured distance changes.

l The NodeMCU acts as the main controller of the project. It receives data from the ultrasonic sensor, processes the information, and determines the condition of the brake pad.

l The brake pad status is shown on the LCD Display, where the user can monitor whether the brake pad is in good condition or needs replacement.

l Using IoT technology through the NodeMCU, the brake pad monitoring data can also be transmitted for remote monitoring, helping improve motorcycle safety and maintenance efficiency.
